Types of Office Pods and How to Choose

Office pods are commonly grouped by activity and capacity. The category name helps narrow options, but the drawings and evidence for the exact model determine suitability.

Phone booths

Single-person booths typically support calls and short video meetings. Check ventilation, work surface, lighting, sockets and whether the intended session length is suitable.

Focus pods

Focus pods provide individual workspace for longer tasks. Ergonomics, ventilation, equipment space, connectivity and booking rules become more important.

Small meeting pods

Two- to four-person models can support interviews and team meetings. Review usable room, seating, table, AV, full-occupancy ventilation and access.

Larger meeting pods

Larger models require careful coordination of floor area, delivery, services, egress and building requirements. Compare them with a permanent room using the same brief.

Selection checklist

Define activity, capacity and duration; check dimensions and route; review ventilation, power and accessibility; obtain model-specific acoustic evidence; confirm fire and project requirements; price freight, installation and maintenance.
