In 2025, Soundbox met architects, workplace designers, dealers, and project teams across major exhibitions in China, Australia, the United States, and Japan. These international events provided our team with direct market insights into the technical priorities and space-planning needs of commercial buyers when evaluating acoustic pods for modern offices and shared workspaces.
Guangzhou: CIFF and the Canton Fair
Soundbox exhibited at the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) in Guangzhou from 28 to 31 March 2025 at Booth S5. 2B28. Where the team debuted the new ART Pods alongside VRT Pods at the show. Soundbox then returned to the China Import and Export Fair Complex in April for the 137th Canton Fair (Booth: 11.3G06-07), showcasing office telephone hoods and specialized architectural sound-absorbing coatings tailored to regional infrastructure and commercial project demands.
Conversations at both Guangzhou events centered on practical space planning, pod capacity, integrated ventilation, material finishes and the information project teams need before installation. The events also allowed visitors to inspect product construction and discuss applications with the Soundbox team.
Soundbox Australia participated in Sydney Build at ICC Sydney on 7 and 8 May 2025 (Hall2, Booth R7). Aligned with local Green Building Certifications and Australian construction standards, Soundbox highlighted its high-density acoustic wall solutions, specialized acoustic coatings, and modular pods.
Discussions focused on deploying enclosed, high-performance workspaces in high-density offices and public facilities where private calls and focused work are difficult to accommodate without permanent structural build-outs.
NeoCon in Chicago
At NeoCon 2025, held at THE MART in Chicago from 9 to 11 June 2025 (Booth: 7-8030), Soundbox met with North American commercial interiors professionals and design firms. The team demonstrated how modular acoustic pods, including the OPEN Pod, ART Pod, and VR Pod, can be specified directly into architectural project plans.
Exhibiting as a design-focused acoustics partner, Soundbox introduced the concept of "emotional intelligence" in workspaces, highlighting that acoustic management extends beyond decibel control to support psychological well-being, focus, and sensory comfort. Discussions centered on integrating modular spaces into commercial developments to enhance acoustic comfort and overall workplace performance.
ORGATEC TOKYO
The 2025 global tour included ORGATEC TOKYO at Tokyo Big Sight (Booth: S1-B16), where Soundbox demonstrated intelligent acoustic pods engineered for space-conscious, high-efficiency Asian office environments. At the event, Soundbox explored the evolving "borderless" workplace trend.
Recognizing the unique requirements of the Japanese market—marked by a strong emphasis on space efficiency and privacy—Soundbox highlighted how its compact modular pods address these layout constraints. Feedback gathered from local architects and facilities leads provided valuable market insights, enabling Soundbox to refine its modular designs for compact, high-performance Asian office spaces.
What We Learned
Across the 2025 global tour, commercial buyers and design teams repeatedly requested clear, standardized, and comparable technical documentation. Key priorities centered on precise external dimensions, clear internal capacities, delivery access clearance, power and electrical requirements, ventilation rates, finish options, step-by-step installation sequences, and model-specific acoustic test evidence.
